25 November is The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and the first day of the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence. We begin the annual event with a message from your SI President, Sharon Fisher, together with a wonderful collaboration and contribution from the five Soroptimist International Federations, each of whom have delivered a video that dives deep into the subject of gender-based violence.

The COVID-19 crisis, and the fallout from climate disasters have had a disproportionate impact on women and girls, and it is clear we face a long journey before we can rest.
We must not lose sight of our ultimate goal – to achieve gender equality and enjoy our human rights.
