Exciting times for the small Soroptimist International HQ staff team based in Cambridge, UK!
SI welcomes Jane Griffiths as part-time Project Manager for See Solar, Cook Solar, President Ann Garvie’s December 10th Appeal to educate and empower women and girls and tackle energy poverty through solar energy. Jane will be working one day a week, covering part of the role of Head of Programme and Advocacy Reilly Dempsey, currently on maternity leave. Jane
is an experienced project manager with extensive experience of working
internationally as an international trade adviser for the Welsh Government. She has also developed and implemented her
own tourism business projects and works as a business coach and mentor.
Jane (pictured above) says “I have a great passion for green energy and have
implemented a range of successful green initiatives in my tourism projects. I
enjoy working in a team and am very confident that my drive and passion for developing
women and utilising green energy will help me to deliver the December 10
Appeal ‘See Solar, Cook Solar’ project effectively and successfully for
Soroptimist International”.
In addition, Sarah Wilkin will join SI as interim Communications Manager on 1st October, replacing Rosi Jack who leaves to take up a new role at international disability charity CBM UK. Sarah has extensive experience in PR and communications having run her own PR agency for several years. She is currently part-time Communications Manager for Cambridge Women’s Resource Centre and will combine this role with working 22.5 hours per week at SIHQ.
Jane and Sarah will join the existing SIHQ staff team of Deborah Thomas (Global Executive Director), Francesca Fletcher Williams (Advocacy Manager – part-time), Hannah Agius (Administrator – part-time) and Suzanne Marsh (Book Keeper – part-time).
