As we move towards an exciting new biennium, Soroptimist International is inviting applications from SI members, for the position of international treasurer of SI (Soroptimist International) Limited.

 

 

International Treasurer

The role is highly influential and will be fundamentally important to shaping the future potential strategies and routine financial management of SI (Soroptimist International) Limited.
The successful candidate will be a volunteer and an accredited member of their nominating Federation. The candidate will be required to demonstrate their financial competencies and will be a qualified accountant.

The candidate will need to be financially innovative and capable of raising the available resources required to facilitate the delivery of the organisations strategies. In particular adequate funding and maintenance of staff salaries combined with funding information technology capable of delivering International advocacy and communication functions of the International Office.

The brief will include: investment management, sustainability of the premises, preparation and management of the Board publish budget, preparation of financial statements for the Board on a quarterly basis. The successful candidate will be confident when presenting financial information and able to respond knowledgeably to queries posed during meetings. Creative in their approach and not adverse to managed risk, the International Treasurer for the 2015-17 biennium has the potential to widen the scope of the International work portfolio undertaken by both staff and Officers.

Financial competencies will need to be demonstrated in application and at interview; further attested to by both professional and character references. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to execute the aforementioned by submission of their CV and supporting statement and follow the process cited in the attached Role Description and Person Specification.
