SI is delighted to launch this film celebrating the achievements of the Birthing in Pacific project, working to reduce maternal mortality in Papua New Guinea by training and equipping birth attendants, educating women and communities about reproductive health and improving facilities.
Birthing in Pacific was set up by SI South West Pacific and involves the three Soroptimist clubs in PNG (SI Lae, SI Ramu, SI Port Moresby). It has been
supported by Soroptimist clubs worldwide as part of International Past President Alice Wells’ December 10th Appeals 2011-13.
Take a look at this film to see what Soroptimists working together can do!
