The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) reports that every year, there are at least 12 million girls married before they reach the age of 18, equating to 28 girls every minute.
Action on Child, Early and Forced Marriage (ACE&FM) is a Geneva-based international NGO dedicated to advancing awareness, research, and education on child and forced marriage, with a view to end this harmful practice.
Authored by founder, Mohinder Watson, ACE&FM has published a new resource guide to support advocacy and action surrounding the elimination of child, early and forced marriage during armed conflict and other humanitarian emergencies. Mohinder is an academic and researcher on child, early and forced marriage across the world, a public health professional, and a social activist who draws on her personal experiences to advocate for change and help end child marriage.
