Exciting new developments for SI's website

It’s been a year and a half since we launched the new and
improved website and we thought it was in need of a refresh! Over the last few
months we have worked hard to update and brighten up our web pages making the
site more user friendly and interactive. We have now replaced the previous
headings SI at the UN, Projects, and Resources with the more snappy Advocacy,
Action, and Awareness (in that order).  Here
you can click onto each word separately and witness how exactly we are
achieving these three objectives.

The most exciting new development is the interactive map – click below to see for yourself!

This map shows you in a visual and interactive manner just
what Soroptimists all over the world have been doing to transform the lives of
women and girls – from service projects to advocacy at the UN to headline news.  Just choose what you are interested to look
at from the drop down menu over the last 6 months, press play and let the map
do the work for you.

You will also notice a ‘social media bar’ floating at the
bottom of each page.  Here you can more
easily link to our social media networks from wherever you are on the website.  To make your life easier, we have also
introduced forgotten username and password buttons on the members’ page and the
programme focus reporting page.

The Who We Are page has had a make-over as well. Click HERE to see more!

Soon you will also be able to access a new online UN
Reporting system where our UN Representatives can file meeting reports keeping
us up to date with meeting progress and achievements.  Members will be able to view summaries of
these reports from the homepage or by clicking through the activity map.

Last but not least, check out our Tag Cloud on the right
hand side of the homepage, the bigger the word, the hotter and more current that
topic is!

Once the UN reporting system is live, members will be able
to click on a word and read the UN rep reports on that topic.

We hope you enjoy these additions and improvements and do
feedback to us with any further suggestions or ideas you may have. For now,
please browse and enjoy!
