The theme of this years’ Human Rights Day is ‘Youth Standing Up for Human Rights’.
10 December 2019 is celebrating and amplifying the action of youth and their promise and commitment to change. The campaign, led by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), is designed to showcase how youth all over the world stand up for their own rights and those of others; be this against racism, hate speech, bullying, discrimination, climate change and more. Youth action and young activists are transforming norms and behaviours, generating new narratives, and sharing their own stories and experiences to bring about change.
