The Priority theme for the sixty-second session of the Commission on the Status of Women looked at the challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls living and working in rural areas. A Soroptimist delegation joined representatives of Member States, UN entities, and other ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from all over the world.
