Opening Doors: Trinidad and Tobago

The fourth SI Presidents Appeal for 2021-2023 is a collaboration with ‘Restore a Sense of I Can’ (RSC) on a project that aims to educate, empower, and enable women and girls. The project focuses on addressing the gender digital divide, which limits women’s access to digital opportunities.

RSC is a non-profit organisation that develops technology clubs in the Caribbean, and their partnership with SI aims to provide training and resources to women and girls in Trinidad and Tobago, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, and Venezuelan migrant women.

The project aims to bridge the digital divide by providing training and support to women and girls, enabling them to make better decisions, gain self-confidence, and develop critical thinking skills. It also aims to address socio-economic barriers and academic divisions that hinder women’s access to digital opportunities.

The project will run until the end of Summer 2023, and the partners are committed to its success and the transformational impact it can bring.
