Dear Soroptimists

Soroptimist International (SI) is delighted to announce that it is opening recruitment for permanent Representatives to the United Nations, Vienna. This is a wonderful opportunity for a Soroptimist who has a keen interest in international affairs, gender equality and human rights. We are seeking a Soroptimist who lives in the Greater Vienna area or within one hour’s travelling time of UN Vienna.  

SI has a strong team of permanent Representatives who work collaboratively together and with external partners at seven UN duty stations (UN Centres) ensuring that the voice of women and girls is always heard and considered. You will be supported by the SI Director of Advocacy and the staffing team at SIHQ in your role. 

If you can demonstrate an ability to influence and understand the need for diplomacy, we would welcome your application. You will need good report writing and oral communication skills in English but also noting that spoken German may be useful.
