Soroptimist International is pleased to announce that we are recruiting a voluntary Safeguarding Officer for our recently established Soroptimist International Foundation. The Foundation is now the home of all international projects and will be officially launched at the SI Dublin 2023 Convention in July. The role will carry the responsibility, ownership and accountability for all aspects of Safeguarding for Soroptimist International Foundation with the expectation that the postholder will be suitably qualified and work closely with the Chair of the Foundation. As Soroptimist International Foundation is still in its infancy the postholder should plan to commit 2-3 days per month initially with the expectation that this will increase.
The postholder will put in place policies and procedures to safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults as well as volunteers acting on behalf of the Trustee, SI (Soroptimist International) Limited and ensure that these policies and procedures meet the requirements of the Charity Commission expectations. You will be conversant with all policies, procedures and documentation in place for Safeguarding and ensure measures in place and that they are regularly kept up to date.
