A new website has been launched to promote the 20th Soroptimist International Convention, which will take place in Istanbul, Turkey,  9-12 July 2015. 

Soroptimist International Conventions take place every four years, bringing together Soroptimists from around the world to meet,  develop friendships, learn from one another, hear from expert speakers and be inspired! The last Convention in 2011 took place in Montreal, Canada.

"If as a Soroptimist you have never attended a convention, I urge you to do so; so that you can experience the real meaning of global friendship and why you are a member of an International organization", says International President Ann Garvie. "Convention will showcase our outstanding and diverse membership."

The Convention Committee, chaired by Janny Spierenburg of the Netherlands, is co-ordinating the development of an exciting programme of speakers and workshops connected with the Convention theme, ‘Soroptimists Educate to Lead – Fresh Ideas Empowering Women‘.  A wide range of social events and tours will be on offer, providing an opportunity to explore the landmarks in the historical peninsula of Anatolia, before, during and after the Convention.
