“Soroptimist International recently held a series of meetings in Budapest, Hungary, these included a review and planning day, formal board meeting and the annual general meeting. Soroptimist International brings together our international leaders from all around the globe to review, monitor and plan our global work and resources for members.

We are delighted to share with you a summary of the meetings, the agreed annual report of 2017 and the very latest SI Where We Stand Statements covering terrorism, poverty and social protection systems. The report and position statements are very useful documents for members to use when lobbying and advocating in country and for specific topics, providing a useful tool to demonstrate our ability to deliver local to global and vice versa.
SI’s global advocacy work and projects undertaken by the SI President Appeal continue to unite members around the world as we strive for fundamental requirement of human rights of women and girls globally, and gender equality in all countries, for all women and girls. As we join hands around the world to deliver our projects, to lobby and campaign, and extend our sphere of influence, we simultaneously demonstrate how Soroptimist International is implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.
