Upcoming webinar: ‘Learn Outcomes of CSW68 to Advocate Nationally’

Please join us for our next webinar on Wednesday 22 May at 14:00 hours UK (BST) time, titled ‘Learn the Outcomes of CSW68 to Advocate Nationally’.

We will reflect on how what happens at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, or ‘CSW,’ each year in March is just one part of the ongoing advocacy that needs to happen all year round.

Our webinar will address some of the outcomes – the Agreed Conclusions-  and how women and girls are impacted. We will focus in particular on climate justice, universal healthcare and education.

Our speakers will be:

  • Berthe De Vos, SI UN Representative, Geneva
  • Linda Witong, SI Advocacy Advisor
  • Ulla Madsen, SI Member of the Danish Delegation to CSW68

Speakers will outline why it is so important that Soroptimists take action to ensure that change happens, highlighting a few concrete actions Soroptimists can take to ensure that the outcomes are acted upon and implemented in their countries, at club level, union level and as individuals.

In particular, we will discuss lobbying governments at local and national levels to get the Agreed Conclusions known and implemented.

Register in advance to attend the webinar.
